The bio-met team is pleased to refer to the ‘Technical Guidance Document for Implementing Bioavailable EQS‘ drafted under the Water Framework Directive – Common Implementation Strategy. This guidance document, published in 2021, is intended to be used by both the regulatory and the regulated community. The document brings together the use of bioavailability correction tools and accounting for natural background concentrations of metals in a single tiered approach.
